Trump slams Obama over alien admission then orders release of ALL UFO files

Donald Trump has ordered the Pentagon to release all files related to aliens and UFOs, just hours after criticizing former President Barack Obama for saying he believes extraterrestrial life exists.

Trump announced on his Truth Social platform that he has directed the military and other relevant agencies to make the extraordinary release. He cited “tremendous interest shown” as the reason for the move. This came shortly after he accused Obama of revealing classified information by publicly stating his belief in extraterrestrial life.

Obama had said on Brian Tyler Cohen’s podcast: “They're real, but I haven't seen them, and they're not being kept in Area 51. There's no underground facility unless there’s this enormous conspiracy hiding it from the president of the United States.”

His remarks quickly sparked an online frenzy, prompting Obama to clarify on Instagram: “I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it’s gotten attention, let me clarify.” He explained that while the vastness of the universe makes it statistically likely that life exists elsewhere, the distances between solar systems make it improbable that Earth has been visited. During his presidency, he saw no evidence of extraterrestrial contact.

Area 51, the Air Force facility in southern Nevada established during the Cold War, has long been at the center of conspiracy theories suggesting it houses alien technology and spacecraft. The CIA did not even formally acknowledge the base’s existence until 2013—nearly 60 years after it began operating. The site became a viral sensation in 2019 when a Facebook event jokingly encouraged people to “storm” the facility in search of aliens. While over a million people registered interest, only about 150 actually showed up.

Trump sharply criticized Obama’s comments, saying, “He’s not supposed to be doing that. He made a big mistake.” When asked whether he believes in aliens, Trump said: “I don’t know if they’re real or not. I don’t have an opinion on it. I never talk about it. A lot of people do. A lot of people believe it.”

In his Truth Social post on Thursday, Trump wrote:

“I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters.”
