Fox News interrupted for breaking Trump news as president loses it completely

The announcement of a sudden two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran raised more questions than it answered and the follow-up from the White House only added to the confusion.

During a live press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pushed back hard against media reports suggesting that the Trump administration had considered Iran’s earlier 10-point proposal as a serious basis for peace. According to her, that version of the plan which reportedly included demands like sanctions relief, continued uranium enrichment, and influence over the Strait of Hormuz was never on the table in any meaningful way.

She described the original proposal as “unserious” and claimed it was immediately rejected by the administration. In her telling, Iran only shifted its موقف after facing sustained military pressure, eventually presenting a revised and more limited framework that U.S. negotiators were willing to engage with.

That revised proposal is now being discussed alongside a separate 15-point framework from the U.S. side, with both parties entering a two-week window to see whether a longer-term agreement is even possible.

Still, there’s an obvious tension in the timeline. Just days before announcing the ceasefire, Trump had issued an extreme warning about the potential destruction of Iranian civilization language that alarmed observers globally. The abrupt pivot from that rhetoric to a temporary pause in hostilities has left analysts questioning whether this is a genuine дипломатический opening or simply a tactical pause under mounting pressure.

What stands out most is the disconnect between messaging and execution. On one hand, the administration insists its red lines especially ending uranium enrichment remain unchanged. On the other, it’s now engaging in negotiations that appear to have been triggered by a significantly revised Iranian proposal.

Whether this leads to a durable agreement or just another breakdown in talks will likely depend on what happens in the next two weeks. For now, it looks less like a breakthrough and more like a fragile pause in a highly volatile situation.
