Trump says his paranoia about falling down Air Force One steps is all Joe Biden's fault

President Donald Trump recently shared his concerns about navigating the stairs of Air Force One, and unsurprisingly, he linked it to his successor, President Joe Biden. Speaking on The Dan Bongino Show, Trump made light of Biden’s well-publicized trip on the steps of Air Force One back in March 2021, when the then-78-year-old stumbled three times within just a few seconds.

Trump explained that the incident made him extra cautious. “I’ve got to be very careful going in,” he said, noting that he takes his time on the stairs and avoids rushing. “Nice and slowly, I’m not looking to set any records. You don’t want to go down. Could happen, could happen. But it can’t happen three times in one shot.”

While reflecting on Biden’s stumble, Trump even acknowledged his quick recovery, albeit in his signature roundabout way. “It’s probably the only thing I respected, but it didn’t look elegant at all,” he said. “I kept waiting for him to fall, and he didn’t. I was impressed with his ability to go down the stairs like that.”

For those interested in more behind-the-scenes perspectives on public figures, recent reports have shed light on Melania Trump’s private communications in her email exchanges and her documentary’s reception, which some critics savaged after its release. These stories highlight the complex interplay of personal and public life for political figures. Additionally, revelations about the Epstein files have continued to stir debates, offering more context to Trump’s remarks and media narratives.

Trump has mentioned his own stair anxieties before. At the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary celebration last October, he joked about needing to be careful because “one day I’m gonna probably fall,” emphasizing his mantra: “Walk down the steps nice and slowly.”

During the podcast, Trump also praised Bongino, noting his value both in law enforcement and as a voice in media. Bongino, who briefly served as deputy FBI director under Kash Patel before returning to podcasting, celebrated his comeback, promising daily content and criticizing those who, in his view, hijacked the movement he represents.

The show also featured Bongino’s fiery remarks against critics, including what he called “libs and their media pals,” and alleged leakers in the FBI, reaffirming his return and resilience.
