A former Trump supporter has publicly turned against him. In a surprising development on CNN, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she no longer believes Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his recent involvement in a conflict with Iran.
Greene had previously described Trump as “more deserving” than anyone else for the prestigious award. However, during the interview, she admitted that her view had completely changed. She said:
"At one time, he wanted to be the President of peace and promised to end foreign wars. Naturally, I thought he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. But do I think that now? No, absolutely not. This isn’t what the American people want."
This shift comes after Trump himself claimed he was “no longer interested” in the Nobel Prize, despite actively campaigning for it in the past. Throughout 2025, Trump repeatedly asserted that he had prevented at least eight wars since taking office. Independent fact-checks, however, revealed that many of these claims were either exaggerated, inaccurate, or premature.
Speaking to the Washington Examiner, Trump admitted uncertainty about whether the Iran conflict would help him gain favor with the Nobel committee, stating: “I don’t know. I’m not interested in it.”
The situation escalated when Trump released a controversial video blending footage of real-life drone strikes in Iran with scenes from a Nintendo Wii game. TV presenter Piers Morgan strongly condemned the video, saying:
"I loathe these posts that treat war like a video game. It’s deadly serious, and many people are being killed, including innocent children and US servicemen and women. Mr. President, please don’t treat it as a game."
The ongoing tensions between Iran, Israel, and the U.S. have persisted since late February, drawing increasing criticism of Trump’s handling of foreign conflicts.
