Trump caught on hot mic making chilling threat that could spark WW3

A recent hot-mic moment involving President Donald Trump has raised alarm about a possible military strike on Iran. As he left a White House briefing on Friday, the president was caught on microphone saying, “Are you considering a military strike? Yes,” fueling speculation that the U.S. may resort to force if diplomacy fails.

Earlier in the day, Trump set a 10-day deadline for Iran to reach a deal with the U.S., warning that Washington would take its own steps if negotiations do not succeed. Despite weeks of talks, efforts to secure a meaningful nuclear agreement have so far produced little progress.

CNN analyst Barak Ravid reported that Trump emphasized the importance of a deal, stating, “We had good talks with Iran. We have to make a meaningful deal. Otherwise, bad things will happen.” Reports suggest that the U.S. has already moved multiple military assets to the Middle East, including two aircraft carriers, prompting fears that a strike could occur as early as this weekend.

Public reaction has been intense. On social media, many users expressed concern that military action could escalate into a full-scale conflict. One Reddit user noted, “We don’t need to ask him. We can see the planes being flown to bases and aircraft carrier movements. He’s at least threatening to.” Another questioned the constitutional legality of unilateral military action, pointing out that only Congress can formally declare war, while highlighting the potential human and financial costs of any conflict.

There are no signs that a deal with Iran is imminent. Meanwhile, Trump has been coordinating closely with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a recent private meeting in Washington focused on Iran.

The timing of this military threat is especially notable, coming just one day after Trump hosted the inaugural meeting of his Board of Peace, which brought together leaders from over 45 countries to discuss ending the war in Gaza. During the event, Trump proudly announced the renaming of the former U.S. Institute of Peace headquarters in Washington to the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace, saying, “This building was built for peace. Nobody knew what to name it, and then Marco named it after me. I had nothing to do with it. I swear.”

The juxtaposition of peace initiatives and threats of military action has left many questioning the administration’s strategy and the potential consequences for regional stability.
