Donald Trump ‘showing signs of dementia’ as terrifying warning issued

Concerns about President Donald Trump’s cognitive health have persisted throughout his second term, and recent events have only heightened scrutiny.

Historian Anthony Beevor, known for his work on wartime leaders, has voiced alarm over Trump’s mental state, suggesting signs of dementia. Beevor highlighted that the president’s unusual bruising, incoherent speeches, and unexplained MRI scans have fueled worries about his ability to lead, especially amid military tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking to The Times, Beevor noted:

"There are a number of dangers. There are increasing signs of dementia, and his entourage seems unable to manage him. Thankfully, he’s now pulling back on ICE in Minnesota, because the original strategy risked provoking an insurrection he could use in the midterms or even as a pretext to cancel them."

International relations have also felt the effects of Trump’s unpredictability. Britain’s initial reluctance to support the U.S. bombing of Iran drew criticism from the president, who accused Prime Minister Keir Starmer of damaging the “special relationship.” Trump has similarly clashed with leaders such as India’s Narendra Modi and former Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, imposing tariffs in response to perceived slights.

Beevor emphasized the unusual centralization of power in Trump’s administration:

"I don’t think anyone has ever had as much personal control. Even during World War II, Roosevelt still required Republican support. We’ve never seen a one-man effect on a major power except, of course, Stalin in the Soviet Union."

Meanwhile, military tensions continue to escalate. Explosions were reported in Tehran as the conflict between Iran, the U.S., and Israel entered its fifth day. Earlier U.S. and Israeli strikes targeted Iranian nuclear and military sites, prompting retaliatory missile launches. Israeli authorities confirmed that several buildings linked to the Basij, the paramilitary group responsible for cracking down on protests in January, were targeted in these strikes.

The conflict, combined with Trump’s recent messaging shifting from honoring fallen U.S. service members to discussing White House renovations has intensified concerns about the president’s focus and decision-making during a volatile period.
