Good Morning Britain paused for bombshell Donald Trump announcement

US President Donald Trump has once again made headlines with a statement that many are calling shocking. During a recent segment on Good Morning Britain, it was reported that Trump is "not at all" concerned about the possibility of committing war crimes in Iran.

Sean Fletcher, reporting alongside Richard Madeley and Charlotte Hawkins, explained that Trump has threatened to destroy Iran’s bridges and power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not fully reopened. According to Fletcher, Trump has extended a deadline for compliance to 1 a.m. UK time the following day, warning of "serious consequences" if Tehran does not comply.

At the press conference, Trump claimed the United States is performing "well at a level never seen before," before issuing a chilling warning: "The entire country could be taken out in one night and that night might be tomorrow night."

Trump emphasized that any agreement must guarantee the free passage of oil through the Strait. Iranian officials, however, have expressed deep mistrust of the US, citing previous bombings during past negotiations as a major concern.

From Tehran, International Editor Emma Murphy described the situation as reaching a "critical day." She noted that no agreement has been reached, with both sides rejecting the proposals on the table. Trump’s recent rhetoric has escalated fears, as he warned that without a deal, Iran could see its power plants and bridges destroyed.

Murphy highlighted the human cost of these tensions: the 90 million people living in Iran have already endured nearly 40 days of conflict. Diplomatically, Pakistan is working hard to mediate, but success is uncertain. Murphy added, "There is hope that a resolution might be reached, mainly because if it isn’t, the situation will become even more desperate than it already is."
