ABC's Jimmy Kimmel fans rave over his 'absolutely amazing' diss to Donald Trump

ABC host Jimmy Kimmel is once again taking a stand against Trump-era immigration policies. Over the weekend, he shared a photo from an ICE OUT rally in South Bay, showing his family protesting alongside fellow Americans.

In the image, Kimmel, his wife Molly McNearney, and their children Jane, 11 and Billy, 8, held signs criticizing ICE. Kimmel’s read “Deport ICE,” while McNearney’s said “Raise Good girls and Pretti boys,” honoring Renee Good and Alex Pretti, who were tragically killed during recent protests in Minnesota involving ICE. Jane’s sign stated “Melt ICE,” and Billy cheekily held up one saying “Paid agitator” a phrase Donald Trump often uses to label protesters with dollar signs drawn next to it.

Kimmel captioned the post: “We were proud to see so many paid agitators (AKA patriotic Americans) marching en masse for the ICE OUT rally in the South Bay today. Keep it going!” Fans responded enthusiastically, praising the family for standing up and “raising their kids on the right side of history.”

The host has a long history of opposing the Trump administration. Following the fatal shooting of ICE nurse Alex, Kimmel devoted part of his opening monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to condemning the aggressive enforcement tactics. He highlighted footage showing children being separated from their parents and people being detained for seemingly minor reasons.

Kimmel also criticized the deaths of Alex and Renee, both 37, and called out the administration for trying to dispute the widely documented incidents. He described ICE agents as “goons committing vile, heartless, and even criminal acts” and likened the situation to “playing a game that has no rules.”

Reflecting on the disturbing footage circulating online, Kimmel asked: “How does this end? What’s the plan here?” He questioned whether the administration intends to continue targeting cities that did not vote for Trump and stressed the human toll of such policies (read full statement).

Before concluding, he offered his sympathies to the families of Alex and Renee, Minneapolis residents, and all those advocating for their neighbors: “We want you to know that we are with you and you are not alone.”
